AFAN walk to be held Sunday

Walkers, runners and dogs will come together for Aid for AIDS of Nevada’s (AFAN) 34th annual AIDS Walk Las Vegas at Las Vegas Ballpark on Sunday, April 28, from 8-11 a.m. This event is one of the most significant fundraising events in the state to support the fight against AIDS.

For the 23rd consecutive year, Vegas headliners and AFAN advocates Penn & Teller will stand as grand marshals. Prior to the walk, walkers will enjoy a pre-walk festival with vendors and performances from local favorites. Proceeds from the event benefit Southern Nevadans living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) was founded in 1984 and is the oldest and largest AIDS service organization in the state of Nevada. 2024 marks AFAN’s 40th anniversary of practicing its unyielding commitment to the community by providing unparalleled health expertise, support and advocacy for adults and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in Southern Nevada. Over the years, AFAN has created various programs that offer consistent and comprehensive assistance including medical case management, medical transportation, housing assistance, medication referral, food programs, prevention and education and community outreach.
