L.A. Walker, the founder and co-executive director of the nonprofit Social Issues Theatre, recently dropped by the studio to chat with Jimmy. The author, playwright, songwriter and podcaster is using all of her skills to help advance dementia and caregiver awareness using theater, music and other artistic platforms. She has discovered that a little music and humor can make the information palatable and open up conversations.
