The always-outrageous Sin Sity Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence proudly announce their 19th anniversary, marking nearly two decades of dedicated service to the LGBTQ+ community in Southern Nevada. To celebrate this milestone, the Sisters are partnering with The Center – the safe space for LGBTQ+ health and wellness, social services, arts and culture, advocacy, and community building – for a spectacular anniversary celebration on Sunday, July 28, from noon to 4 p.m.
Titled S.A.C.R.E.D. Heart Awards, the saint’s appreciation and community recognition brunch, will feature the “sainting” of esteemed members in the Las Vegas Valley, recognizing their significant contributions through fundraising, allyship, and the growth of the Sin City Sisters. Additionally, the brunch event will include a variety of entertainment as well as tempting food and beverage offerings by the Culinary Academy Las Vegas to round out the celebration.
To date, the Sin Sity Sisters have raised more than $1 million to support Southern Nevadans in need through their Sisters AIDS Drug Assistance Program (SADAP). SADAP assists all individuals in the community regardless of race, age, or gender and was established to help give life-saving assistance to anyone who is 200% above the federal poverty level.
“Our 19th anniversary is not only a celebration of our past achievements but also a commitment to our future goals,” said Sister Jenni, Sin Sity Sisters. “Our community is stronger together, and we are committed to continuing our support and advocacy for many years to come.”
For more than 30 years, The Center has cared for, championed and celebrated LGBTQIA+ individuals and those who are underserved in Nevada. We function as the heart and home of the LGBTQIA+ community by making connections, delivering programs and providing a safe space for health and wellness, social services, arts and culture, advocacy and community building. Ongoing Center programs support LGBTQIA+ youth, adults, families, seniors, vets, people with disabilities, those living with HIV and underserved populations. Additionally, we are proud to offer The Center Advocacy Network, the first nationally accredited program of its kind, focusing on LGBTQIA+ issues for victim advocacy. The Holy Order Sin Sity Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is a 501(c)(3) Nevada non-profit organization founded in June 2005. Guided by the global mission of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc. in San Francisco to promulgate universal joy and expiate stigmatic guilt, the Sin Sity Sisters have raised more than $1 million to support Southern Nevadans in need through their Sisters AIDS Drug Assistance Program (SADAP).
