Together, we march. Together, we fight. Together, we lead.
The Women’s March Foundation and partners host The People’s March, set to take place on Saturday, January 18, returning to its historic 2017 site at Pershing Square. This critical call to action comes as the nation prepares for a second Trump administration, making it clear that the fight for equality and justice is far from over.
Join at 10 a.m. at Pershing Square as attendees march to City Hall to make voices heard. Our future depends on our collective commitment to organizing beyond any single election. Women are NOT equal yet and achieving true equality will require all of us to rise together and continue the fight.
What began as a march has grown into a powerful, ongoing movement. Women and allies cannot afford to stay silent. We will continue to advocate, march, and stay loud in defense of our rights and our democracy.
This year’s march is more than a protest. It is a powerful statement of resilience and an urgent rallying cry to protect the advancements made in recent years, while pushing back against the harmful policies targeting women, immigrants, LGBTQ+ individuals, and other vulnerable groups.
“”Donald Trump’s first term as president saw relentless attacks on women’s rights, from restricting access to birth control and stalling progress on closing the gender pay gap to weakening Title IX protections against sex discrimination in education. His Supreme Court appointments overturned Roe in 2022. A second Trump term demands continued organizing, marching, and advocacy,” said Emiliana Guereca, President of the Women’s March Foundation. “The fight for equality didn’t start in 2017, and it won’t end with this election cycle. Women’s March Foundation is committed to keeping this movement alive until women achieve full equality in every aspect of society. Our voices make them heard.”
