Local Charity Extravaganza to Feature Dancing, Entertainment, Dress Contest to Support People Living with HIV/AIDS
The Sin Sity Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the renowned community organization dedicated to advocating for HIV/AIDS awareness, announces it will celebrate its monumental 20th anniversary during its annual Red Dress charity event on Saturday, March 22 at 7 p.m. This year’s theme will be Classic Red Dress 20th Anniversary. Proceeds from this event will support the Sisters’ AIDS Drug Assistance Program (SADAP), which provides life-saving medications to people living with HIV/AIDS.
The 17th annual Red Dress event promises to surpass all expectations. It will offer a night of dancing and light bites provided by the popular downtown Las Vegas restaurant PublicUs. Rio Antone will host the event, which will also feature incredibly talented performers such as Keyska Diva, Derek Daniels, Hanna Barbeara, Ty Dupp, Lex Lunacy, and Touni Tea.
Attendees are encouraged to wear their most fabulous red dresses, with “dress” broadly defined to include skirts, kilts, gowns, kimonos, saris, togas, or dashikis. The main event is an extravaganza of regal excitement with a Red Dress Ensemble contest, including various categories for participants to showcase their creativity and individuality.
The Sin Sity Sisters will also honor several individuals from the community, inducting them into Sainthood for their consistent support of the order through their talent, sponsorship and generosity.
In addition, the event’s silent auction promises a plethora of enticing items, including travel excursions, specialty clothing, show tickets, and unique artwork.
This extraordinary gala is one of the signature events held annually to support the Sin Sity Sisters’ mission to promote HIV/AIDS awareness and assist those impacted by the virus.
To date, the Sin Sity Sisters have raised more than $1 million to support Southern Nevadans in need through their SADAP program. SADAP assists all individuals in the community regardless of race, age or gender. SADAP was created to help give life-saving assistance to anyone who is 200% above the federal poverty level. For 17 years, SADAP has assisted clients with obtaining HIV/AIDS medication, health insurance as well as helping to prevent the disease by assisting with Prep and PEP. Most clients have been able to obtain what they need within 24 to 48 hours of contacting the Sisters.
“For 20 years, the Sin Sity Sisters have been more than an organization—they’ve been a symbol of resilience, compassion and the unapologetic celebration of life,” said Sister Prudence, Abbess, Sin Sity Sisters. “This event is a testament to the power of community coming together to uplift, support and create change, all while having the most fabulous time imaginable.”
The Holy Order Sin Sity Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is a 501(c)(3) Nevada non-profit organization founded in June 2005.
