The Competitor’s Playbook: Rules & Guidelines
Open to All: This competition is completely open to all types of performance and any gender. If you have a talent, we want to see it!
The Five-Minute Window: Contestants should prepare a stellar performance that runs no longer than 5 minutes. Keep it tight, because there is a 5-point deduction for going over the time limit.
What the Judges are Looking For: Our panel will be scoring you strictly on Entertainment Value, Overall Look, and Originality. Bring something unique, look spectacular, and captivate the room!
Keep it Safe and Clean: To keep the night running smoothly, absolutely no acts involving fire or elements that require the stage to be cleaned are permitted.
Score Big with Bonus Points:
Earn an extra +5 bonus points if your performance is country or western.
Lock in a massive +10 points if you are or become a member of the NGRA.
Strict Timeline for Performers
Timing is everything if you want to win. Make sure you hit these exact marks to keep your score intact:
Day Prior to Competition: Music must be submitted to the DJ via email by 7 p.m. the day before the event.
6:15 p.m. (Event Night): Call Time for all performers. Do not be late—there is a strict 10-point deduction for tardiness.
6:30 p.m.: The performance order will be drawn officially.
