The creative vision of husbands Freddy Godinez and Alexander Stabler covers the past, present and future with their company, Fredric Alexander. The Las Vegas-based studio offers interior and landscape designs for residential and commercial properties.
“We’ve coined our style as sophisticated funk. It’s an eclectic blend of our shared work experience, global experience and time spent abroad. It usually incorporates bold, unique designs. We always love to include some form of vintage Vegas to represent and honor where we live and where we are from,” explained Godinez. “It’s something that’s always very curated and unique for the clients. We really try to help push our clients to go bold and to make fun, beautiful design decisions that are meaningful, impactful and functional.”

Godinez brings his technical background as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He also obtained his Master’s in urban planning from the University of Southern California.
“I was a professional performer and I moved to Las Vegas initially for Cirque du Soleil and worked as a performer up until 2020 when my show, Le Rêve, closed. We launched our design business the very next day,” added Stabler. “I’ve always loved design. It’s something I’ve been drawn to since I was a young child. I grew up overseas, and my childhood was pretty chaotic.”
Both of Stabler’s parents, although loving, struggled with addiction. He would discover at an early age that design was a way to bring harmony to the chaos. It would become a powerful creative outlet for him to deal with a lot of the uncertainty growing up. Designing has always been powerful and meaningful to Stabler.
Godinez celebrates his strong Mexican-American background and would travel frequently to visit family in Mexico. His mother is the oldest of 13 siblings and Godinez estimates that he has 30 to 40 first cousins.
“Our experience in visiting outdoor spaces and designing these places activated and inspired my love for nature and the way that people worked and played in the environment. That also inspired my landscape architecture degree. When Alex and I met, we both shared a love for art, culture and entertainment,” said Godinez.
When they got married, they knew they wanted to open a design company together someday.
“I always leaned into design because for me, design has as strong an impact as performance does. In a performance, you have the opportunity to captivate an audience and have a profound emotional impact on them. I feel like design has that same impact, but even more meaningful and powerful because it impacts people’s daily lives. That’s something that’s always been important to Freddy and me is to have a positive impact on people and create meaningful change for our community,” said Stabler.
In 2023, Freddy and Alex purchased a building in downtown Las Vegas on Maryland Parkway, just south of Charleston Boulevard. As longtime residents of the area, having lived in the downtown community for over 10 years, they felt it was important to keep their offices rooted in the neighborhood.

Fredric Alexander headquarters features a dual-purpose layout: one side houses their design studio, while the other serves as a flexible rental space for local creatives and small businesses, helping to foster growth within the community.
Community engagement and philanthropy are also core values for Freddy and Alex. In addition to volunteering their time and services, they donate the use of their space to nonprofits and local groups, including Young Equal and the Crestwood Neighborhood Association.
“It really allows us to interact with the community, give back and be part of the positive growth happening downtown—something we believe is incredibly important,” said Godinez.
“We’ve seen so much development in the area and we wanted to be part of that transformation,” added Stabler.
As a gesture of community collaboration, they donated the west-facing wall of their building for public art. During the building’s opening, they hosted a spray-paint event that invited graffiti artists and community members to contribute. The wall has since evolved into a living art installation that continues to change over time, demonstrating the vibrant and diverse culture of downtown Las Vegas.
Fredric Alexander was also recently featured by Chase for Business as the first queer-owned and first West Coast business to be spotlighted in their national small business campaign. JPMorgan Chase emphasized its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion by highlighting Fredric Alexander’s story.

As for advice on interior and landscape design, both emphasize the importance and value of working with professional designers. It saves time and people from making costly mistakes.
