In celebration of the Ole Red Las Vegas grand opening, Clark County Commissioner Jim Gibson presented Blake Shelton and Ryman Hospitality Properties Executive Chairman Colin Reed with keys to the Las Vegas Strip at a press conference yesterday afternoon.
Clark County has officially recognized April 17, 2024, as “Ole Red Day” to commemorate the opening of the sixth and largest location of the Blake-Shelton-inspired bar, restaurant, and music venue in Las Vegas. The county acknowledged Ole Red’s commitment to the city and its contribution to the dynamic offerings of the Las Vegas Strip. The venue has provided a platform for emerging musical artists to showcase their talents and has become a popular gathering place for country music lovers to enjoy performances day and night.
The proclamation comes as part of the week-long grand opening celebration of Ole Red Las Vegas, which featured back-to-back concerts by Shelton, where the Grand Ole Opry member performed more hits including, “Some Beach” and “Neon Light.” Shelton shared on-stage, “Ole Red Las Vegas we’re here to stay!” right before singing “Ol’Red.” He continued, “It’s official now!”
Visitors included siblings Candy, Bill and Cindy Wiley from Iowa to see their family tractor hanging on the wall. Their parents were long-time farmers who would be thrilled to see their tracker in a place of honor at one of their favorite performer’s club.
The rest of the week will feature special giveaways, on-site prizes and performances from nationwide country acts, top-notch local and regional West Coast talent, and former NBC “The Voice” contestants.
Ole Red Las Vegas, owned and operated by Opry Entertainment Group, a division of Ryman Hospitality Properties (NYSE: RHP), is the brand’s newest location at 27,000 square feet, including 686 seats, and a 4,500 square-foot rooftop where guests can take in striking views of the Las Vegas cityscape. The venue is located in front of Caesars Entertainment’s Horseshoe Las Vegas at the Grand Bazaar Shops, on the southeast corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road.
