Lambda Las Vegas Membership Chair Nick Giorgi dropped by the studio to fill Jimmy in on all that our local chapter does for local LGBTQ businesses. The organization, which WHATSUP.VEGAS is a proud member of, held its monthly luncheon at The Center yesterday, March 12. It holds one every second Wednesday of the month. In addition, it will have a mixer at The Phoneix, 4213 W. Sahara Ave., at 6 p.m. on March 13, today. Admission is $10-$20.
Bishop Bonnie L. Radden, CEO of The Gathering Place, gave a rallying speech that made us all want to join Sen. Pat Spearman and Sen. Bernie Sanders in the streets with his bullhorn. It reminded us to come together as a community to support each other. Community is unity was the theme for her speech. Afterwards, it became tangible, as she and other activists brainstormed solutions for community needs. And yes, our boyfriend, Rob Schlegel was there in the big middle of it. Lambda President Pam Jones was also helping out.
