A downtown design studio, known for its commitment to community, is receiving praise for helping reshape Las Vegas’s heart, including the donated work at a new neighborhood health clinic.
During the Nov. 19 council meeting, Councilwoman Olivia Diaz (Ward 3) recognized husbands Freddy Godínez and Alex Stabler, owners of Fredric Alexander, for their vision and community leadership in a Facebook post.

“It was a great honor to recognize two outstanding Ward 3 residents, business owners, and community champions—Freddy Godínez and Alex Stabler—at this week’s City Council meeting [Nov. 19]. Their design leadership at the Gavin J. Goorjian Health Center has created a warm, welcoming space that supports our LGBTQIA+ community and all residents seeking care. Their approach is reflected in every detail, including telehealth and therapy rooms and community spaces.
Diaz also extended her gratitude to Dr. Leana Ramirez, Jon Waldron, and the entire clinic staff for their dedication to delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare. She emphasized that the team’s efforts—combined with the design studio’s volunteer contributions and continued service through Friends of Huntridge Circle Park and other neighborhood causes—reflect a deep love for Ward 3.
“Thank you both for uplifting our community through your talent, generosity and vision,” wrote Councilwoman Diaz.
Godínez expressed heartfelt appreciation for the recognition.
“We are honored to receive this recognition from Councilwoman Olivia Diaz and the Las Vegas City Council for our work on The Center’s Gavin J. Goorjian Community Health Center,” wrote Godinez on social media. “This project reflects our belief that thoughtful design can support healing, dignity, and connection. We’re grateful to everyone who played a part in bringing this vision to life and for the trust placed in us to design a space centered on care and community.”
Fredric Alexander’s office sits just steps from The Center’s Gavin J. Goorjian Community Health Clinic in the Arts District, making the project personal for the couple. The designers say they felt a responsibility to help shape a space that served their own community.

“We’re members of the queer community. We’re active in the revitalization of downtown Las Vegas. Our studios are downtown. So to be a part of this project was really important to us,” said Stabler during a broadcast segment on Fox 5 Vegas.
The clinic marks a significant expansion for The Center, moving from advocacy into comprehensive healthcare. With its three-level layout, the Gavin J. Goorjian Community Health Center houses telehealth rooms, therapy spaces, medical areas, and warm community gathering zones—all designed with intention.
Their design philosophy focused on dignity, safety, and familiarity—qualities essential to a clinic serving diverse populations.
“I think sometimes it’s about recognizing the privilege that you have—and using it to collaborate,” added Godinez on the broadcast segment on Fox 5 Vegas.
The health center’s top floor opened in June of last year, with the first floor and the lower level debuting in September, revealing the full scope of the studio’s vision.
By donating their services, Godínez and Stabler were part of creating a transformed environment in the neighborhood for the new clinic to open its doors with both functionality and warmth—a meaningful contribution to a neighborhood they care deeply about. Community members interested in supporting similar projects can understand through this clinic how thoughtful contributions can make a lasting impact.
Their recognition from Mayor Berkeley and the City Council underscores a simple truth: thoughtful design, rooted in community, has the power to uplift an entire neighborhood.
