Henderson is getting a new place to play, eat, compete and connect.
Henderson Sport & Social will open to the public on Friday, Oct. 16, offering a new destination for sports, fun, and socializing in West Henderson.
Spanning 180,000 square feet, the facility welcomes everyone — from athletes and families to groups seeking a fun gathering spot.
The complex features four convertible basketball courts, turf fields for indoor soccer and football, a fitness center, bowling lanes, laser tag, and an arcade, providing diverse entertainment options for all ages.
Families will also find a 30,000-square-foot family entertainment area, dedicated community and event spaces, restaurant and full-service bar options, and a child-watch area designed to give parents added flexibility while they enjoy the facility.
“We’re thrilled to bring Henderson Sport & Social to West Henderson and introduce a destination where sports, entertainment and community can come together,” said General Manager Jeff Swanlund. “From sports and recreation to entertainment and social experiences, this venue is designed to give guests a place to gather, have fun and create lasting memories year-round.”
A new community gathering place
Henderson Sport & Social is part of a partnership that invests $70 million into our community, supporting local growth and opportunities.
Mayor Michelle Romero said the project will create growth opportunities for the City of Henderson. “We’re excited to welcome residents to Henderson Sport & Social, offering family-friendly activities for people to play, connect and enjoy time together,” Romero said. “This public-private partnership is a strategic investment in our community that will attract tournaments and visitors, support local businesses, create jobs and generate economic activity.”
The facility is also expected to serve as a destination for tournaments, events and visitors from throughout Southern Nevada, while providing Henderson residents with new recreational and entertainment options close to home.
Grand opening weekend will benefit local charity.
As part of the grand opening celebration, Henderson Sport & Social will host a silent auction Oct. 16-17, with all proceeds benefiting Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. The nonprofit provides critical medical care and support to children battling serious illnesses.
No membership required
One of the biggest draws for residents is that Henderson Sport & Social will be open to the public with no membership required.
Guests can visit to participate in activities, spend time with family and friends, enjoy a meal or drink, attend an event, or simply experience the new facility at their own pace.
A soft opening is scheduled to begin Monday, Oct. 5, with limited operating hours also planned for Wednesday, Oct. 7, and Thursday, Oct. 15, ahead of the official grand opening.
With its combination of sports, recreation, fitness, food and entertainment, Henderson Sport & Social is poised to become a new gathering spot for West Henderson — and another sign of the area’s rapid growth.
