Images to be Used for Destination Wedding Promotional Efforts

The Wedding Capital of the World™ and Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya announce a call for submissions of professional photography that captures the spirit, style and unforgettable moments of Southern Nevada weddings.
If selected, images will be used in marketing and publicity efforts, including on the weddings.vegas website, social media channels and in editorial coverage by online, print and broadcast media outlets.Â
All styles of professional photography are welcome: editorial, documentary, modern, classic and creative. A variety of content will be considered; examples of suitable subject matter follow:
- Couples at the Clark County Marriage License Bureau.
- Couples at of Las Vegas landmarks, such as the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, Fountains of Bellagio, Eiffel Tower, Grand Canal Shoppes, Strip skyline views, The Neon Museum, The Mob Museum, and Fremont Street Experience.
- Outdoor weddings (e.g., Red Rock Canyon, Mt. Charleston, Nelson Ghost Town, Lake Mead).
- Couples at wedding chapels, resorts, and alternative wedding venues.
- Wedding fashion and details (attire, accessories, design elements—traditional and non-traditional)
- Meaningful emotional moments (processional, vow exchange, first kiss, laughter, tears, embraces).
- Reception and celebration (entrances, toasts, dancing, high-energy moments).
- Multi-generational wedding celebrations.
- Couples photographed with children.
- Images showing ethnic diversity.
- Same-sex couples.
Submissions may be sent as a web link to lasvegasweddingphotos@gmail.com with the subject line Vegas Wedding Photo Submission. Submissions should include the photographer’s name, business name and website as well as image captions with location details. Wedding Capital of the World officials will review submissions, contact photographers if their images are selected, and a usage agreement encompassing a non-exclusive, unlimited, and royalty-free license will follow (the photographer retains copyright, and all photos used will include a photo credit). A photo release must be provided.

Internationally, marriage rates for countries typically range from 5 to 10 per thousand population. Las Vegas was originally recognized with its iconic title as the “Wedding Capital of the World” on Sept. 23, 1953, when the London Daily Herald used it in an article highlighting the city’s popularity for destination weddings.
