Boyd Gaming properties across the Las Vegas Valley are preparing to celebrate Lunar New Year and welcome the Year of the Horse with traditional lion and dragon dances, festive décor and special dining experiences at Suncoast Hotel and Casino, The Orleans Hotel and Casino and Gold Coast Hotel and Casino.

Traditional Lion and Dragon Dances
Annual Lunar New Year festivities return with vibrant lion and dragon dance performances at all three participating Boyd properties. These lively cultural celebrations feature percussionists, costumed performers and colorful processions that travel through each casino, culminating in the traditional cai qing ceremony, where lions toss lettuce leaves to spectators for good luck.
Along each route, guests will have the opportunity to feed red envelopes to the lions, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune in the new year.

The procession begins on the west end of the main casino floor near Bailiwick. Guests can enjoy lettuce‑tossing moments at:

Gold Coast Hotel & Casino
Friday, February 20 at 7 p.m.
Performed by the Lohan School of Shaolin, the parade will begin at the bottom of the Bingo Escalator and includes lettuce tosses at:
- Noodle Exchange
- Main cage / Sportsbook
- Ping Pang Pong (final lettuce toss)
Suncoast Hotel & Casino
Thursday, February 27 at 6 p.m.
The procession will begin at the valet entrance and travel throughout the casino.
Dining Specials
Ondori Asian Kitchen at The Orleans
Guests can enjoy limited‑time Chinese New Year Specials from February 17 through March 3, beginning nightly at 5 p.m.
Featured dishes include:
- Steamed whole fresh sea bass (“Prosperity in the New Year”)
- Lobster with salted egg yolk in ginger scallion sauce (“Wealth Pouring In”)
- Minced shrimp with black mushrooms (“Overflowing Treasures”)
- Pork feet in oyster sauce with fat choy (“Build Riches”)
- Black moss, dried oyster and bean curd stick soup (“Oyster Moss Soup”)
Taste of Asia at Suncoast

Guests who earn 175 Tier Credits will receive a $25 Taste of Asia voucher.
On Friday, February 20, from noon to 2 p.m., guests can enjoy a special Lunar New Year lunch prepared by Chef Martin Yan. The menu includes:
- Chicken salad
- Mongolian beef
- Orange chicken
- Veggie delight
- Walnut shrimp
- Sesame ball
The price is $68 per person and includes a complimentary cookbook.
